Different Types of Nailers
Nailers are not like the normal run of Power Tools they tend to be specialised with each one being used for a precise job. there are a lot of different types of Nailer and each one has its own particular job. sometimes they are designed to be used with heavyweight material others are meant to be used with much lighter fabrics. All Nailers can be classified as either Stick Nailers, where the nailes are formed into a long stick that is loaded into the magazine, and Coil Nailers which use long flexible strings of nails that are loaded into a round magazine.
Three Types of Nailers
Below I will explain the key facts of the three most common types of Nailers.
First we have Framing Nailers, they use large nails that vary from one to four inches in size. Framing nailers are used for working with heavier denser materials such as hardwood. They are usually quite quite bulky and heavy which can make them awkward to use.
The next most common type of Nailor is the Roofing Nailer, this is a classic example of a single purpose tool. Roofing Nailers use special nails that are only used for roofing. They have a large supply of the nails so that you can stay on the roof for a long period of time, with out having to reload your nailer.
Finally I will mention Finishing Nailers sometimes the known as Brad Nailers. As the name suggests they are meant for finishing work and therefore the nails they use how much smaller than the other types of Nailers. Finishing Nailers are used to fit the finishing touches to jobs such as trimmings, they are normally stick type nailers. Finishing Nailers are quite small and light they are easy to use.
